The feeling ofhaving arrived.

When Frank first told me about his plans for Crete, I found myself in a very similar phase of life. Like many people, I had begun to think about how to shape the next chapter after a fulfilling professional career.

Over the years I have visited many beautiful places around the world. But Crete is different.

An island full of diversity

What fascinated me from the very beginning was the island’s incredible diversity. Within relatively short distances the landscape keeps changing: impressive mountains, fertile valleys, spectacular stretches of coast, hidden coves, traditional villages and breathtaking views – a variety that delights me to this day.

As remarkable as the natural beauty is – it was the people who touched me most.

The warmth, openness and hospitality of the Cretans is truly special. From the first moment I felt welcome. There is a natural friendliness here that makes it easy to connect with people and creates a genuine sense of belonging.

Above all, Crete gave me something that is hard to put into words:

Not simply having arrived at a destination, but at a place where life can be enjoyed more consciously. A place where time seems to take on a different meaning. A place where nature, friendships and the simple pleasures of life still matter deeply.

That is why my decision to make Crete an important part of my life after my career came relatively quickly. And it still feels just as right today.

A friendship that became Hephaistos

Frank and I share a long journey – professionally and as friends. Over many years we accompanied each other through different phases of our careers, exchanged ideas, learned from one another and collected countless unforgettable moments on our travels around the world.

Looking back, I am deeply grateful for this friendship. The trust, mutual respect and shared experiences have enriched not only my professional life but shaped me personally. All the more wonderful to continue this journey together in Crete and to create something that reflects the values we both believe in.

What makes this journey even more special is sharing it with people who have long since become friends rather than business partners. Working with Frank, Manolis and Giorgos is a genuine pleasure.

Together we develop ideas, discover extraordinary places, plan projects and look for ways to create something sustainable and meaningful. Being able to do this in such beautiful surroundings, while sharing the same values and the same vision, is something I treasure.

Not just real estate

What excites me most: we are not simply developing properties. We want to help people find a place that touches them the way Crete has touched us.
